“Once You Join APC, Your Sins Are Forgiven,” Tambuwal Speaks on Encounter with EFCC

Senator Aminu Tambuwal, former governor of Sokoto state, spoke out about his recent encounter with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), claiming that once you join the All Progressives Congress (APC), your sins are forgiven. Tambuwal described his brief visit to the EFCC office on August 6, where he was initially questioned and allowed to return home, only to be asked to report back for further interrogation.

Despite his legal team's appeals, he was detained overnight and released the next morning after meeting bail terms. Tambuwal criticized the timing of the EFCC's actions, suggesting a political plot to discredit dissenting voices critical of the federal government, particularly President Bola Tinubu.

He vowed to remain steadfast in his coalition for national rescue. Meanwhile, panic reportedly swept the African Democratic Congress (ADC) within the opposition coalition, as they aim to unseat President Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
