Taraba Governor Agbu Kefas Joins APC, Increasing Party's Governor Count to 30

Taraba Governor Agbu Kefas has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), raising the total number of APC governors to 30. The formal entry into the ruling party took place during a ceremony held in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State.

The defection ceremony was attended by notable figures including the national chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, who presented the party's flag to Governor Kefas.

The governor's move was described as courageous by Yilwatda, who emphasized that the switch to the APC would position Taraba State for better access to federal programs and interventions. Prominent APC leader Bola Tinubu also spoke at the event, expressing excitement over Governor Kefas' decision to join the party.

Kefas stressed that his defection was not for political survival but to accelerate the development of Taraba State. The move is seen as a significant political development in the state.
