Taylor Swift Pays $160K for NYC Wedding Permit

Taylor Swift paid more than $160,000 for an event permit related to her wedding at Madison Square Garden, as confirmed by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. The permit fee covered city resources, including deployments from the New York Police Department (NYPD) to manage street closures and traffic around the venue.

The NYPD deployed numerous officers for the event, which took place on July 3 and was officiated by actor Adam Sandler. The wedding had over 1,000 guests, with Swift's brother, Austin Swift, serving as her "man of honor," and Jason Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce, as his best man.

Notable attendees included actors Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, and Jason Sudeikis, as well as singer Benson Boone and NFL stars Chris Jones and Cooper Kupp. Prior to the wedding, Swift and Kelce donated $26 million to various charities, including Answer The Call, which supports families of police and firefighters killed in the line of duty.
