Fans Buy Taylor Swift's Wedding Trash for $25 Each

Taylor Swift's fans engaged in an unusual purchase by paying $25 for trash collected from outside her wedding venue in New York City. The wedding, which took place near Madison Square Garden, was attended by many fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the singer.

Artist Justin Gignac organized the sale of items collected last Friday, which included a variety of discarded items such as cigarette butts, an ovulation test kit, a water bottle cap, candy wrappers, police caution tape, a straw, utensils, and a single left AirPod. Gignac reported that 50 items were sold within 24 hours, earning him $1,250.

He described the sale as a way to commemorate a cultural moment in New York City, stating that it captures a little time capsule of the event. The trash was collected outside the security barriers surrounding Madison Square Garden, not inside the wedding venue itself.
