Kwara State Government Declares Public Holiday for World Teachers' Day Celebration

The APC-led government in Kwara State declared October 6 as a public holiday in honor of World Teachers' Day. The Chairman of the Governors Forum NGF, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, approved the holiday to recognize the critical role teachers play in society.

The announcement was made by Lawal Olohungbebe, the Commissioner for Human Capital Development, and Ibraheem Abdulateef, the Senior Special Assistant Communications to Governor AbdulRazaq. The theme for the 2025 World Teachers' Day is the collaborative nature of teaching, emphasizing the transformative potential of teachers in and out of the classroom.

The day celebrates the dedication, patience, and strength of educators in shaping the future generation.
