Teachers Demand Education Reform and Better Welfare in Abuja

During a conference held in Abuja, teachers united to advocate for significant education reform and improved welfare. The event, themed "Record Reform," was marked by the initiative of Oluwaseyi Anifowos, symbolizing a decisive shift towards recognizing the structural reforms needed in the education sector.

The emphasis was placed on restoring dignity to the teaching profession and empowering teachers to shape national development outcomes. Sola Adeola, the Executive Director of the Nigerian Teachers, highlighted the long-standing neglect of teachers and the necessity for quality education to rise above visible dignity.

Rhoda Odigboh, the Project Director, stressed the critical role teachers play in shaping the country. Iyabode Alli, a minister, spoke directly about the fundamental truth that no education system can excel without motivated teachers.

The movement aims to mobilize teachers nationwide, encouraging them to actively participate rather than passively observe.
