Content Creator Sunshine Laid to Rest Amid Tears, Singer Bunmi Akinaanu's Emotional Burial Video Surfaces

Iniobong Esther Loui, popularly known as Sunshine, a 34-year-old content creator, died following complications from fibroid surgery in Lagos. Despite seeking medical help at Orchid General Hospital, her condition worsened, leading to her passing on January 9, 2026.

Her friends and loved ones organized a dignified burial for her, with tearful tributes and a solemn procession to her final resting place in Yaba. Additionally, a video of the burial ceremony of singer Bunmi Akinaanu, also known as Omije Ojumi, stirred emotions online, showing her family and friends grieving her loss.

The video raised concerns among fans and colleagues, with actress Ajara Lasisi expressing worry over the footage of Bunmi Akinaanu in distress at the hospital.
