Tech leaders to converge for digital economy drive

Tech leaders will gather for a digital economy drive program supported by the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). The program, which will include the Government Leadership AI Summit in Abuja and a move to Lagos in September, aims to explore ways to boost digital infrastructure and Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation in Nigeria.

Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, stressed the importance of advancing the country's technological capabilities and becoming a net producer of AI talent to compete globally. The program was also highlighted by Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Director of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, as a crucial step in driving technological advancement and promoting Nigeria's global competitiveness in the digital economy.
