Tech Brands Drive Future Digital Economy to Support Nigeria’s $1trn 2030 Ambition

Nigeria is positioning itself at the forefront of Africa's digital economy, with a goal to reach a $1 trillion economy by 2030. The country's resilient tech ecosystem, fueled by government initiatives and a thriving startup scene, is seen as a key driver of this ambition.

The inaugural GITEX NIGERIA event, supported by the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, aims to bring together local and international tech decision-makers to discuss digital transformation across various sectors. The event, endorsed by the Lagos State Government, will feature the Government Leadership AI Summit in Abuja, highlighting the importance of building and deploying AI infrastructure solutions to drive technological advancement in Nigeria and Africa.

The program will transition to Lagos in September, with the aim of positioning the city as a hub for innovation and digital solutions in Africa. Director of the National Information Technology Development Agency, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, emphasized the commitment to cultivating Nigeria's digital ecosystem to become a global benchmark for equitable AI advancement and inclusive access.
