NBTE Boss Advocates Technical Education to Combat Poverty in Nigeria

Professor Idris Bugaje, the Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), emphasized the importance of technical education in lifting Nigeria out of poverty during the TVET stakeholder program in Kano. Bugaje highlighted the role of Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) in economic development and poverty reduction.

The event, supported by UNESCO and the Korean government, showcased Nigeria's commitment to enhancing technical education and aligning with global standards through the Nigerian Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF). The NBTE is at the forefront of digitizing skills qualifications and improving quality assurance across technical institutions.
