Pantami Advocates Technology Solutions for Nigeria's Challenges

Isa Ali Pantami, the former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, highlighted the potential of technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to solve Nigeria's pressing challenges, including insecurity and unemployment. During the launch of a compendium detailing 241 transformative projects, Pantami noted that these initiatives aim to create 700 employment opportunities.

He emphasized the importance of digital technology in the era of the fourth industrial revolution, advocating for technology-driven projects nationwide to empower youth and strengthen key sectors such as education, security, and the economy. Pantami mentioned the establishment of a digital center to enhance surveillance and crime detection, allowing for real-time monitoring of criminal activities.

He also pointed out that the cybersecurity sector alone could generate millions of job opportunities, with AI projected to create 87 million new jobs globally. Pantami's tenure was marked by a commitment to equitable distribution of projects across Nigeria, ensuring no state was marginalized.

He expressed confidence that technology-driven initiatives would continue to benefit Nigeria's development.
