Pantami: Technology Will Define Nigeria's Future

Isa Ali Pantami, the former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, stated that technology, rather than mere promises, will define Nigeria's future. Speaking on Monday, he reflected on projects executed during his tenure, emphasizing the impact of digital technology, especially artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, on Nigeria's path.

Pantami noted that the country is entering the era of the fourth industrial revolution, where digital innovations are redefining governance, security, education, and economic growth. He pointed out that despite Nigeria's numerous challenges, technology offers practical solutions, provided there are the right policies, infrastructure, and political will.

He mentioned several technology-driven initiatives implemented across states, including the establishment of digital centers aimed at improving education, enhancing security surveillance, and boosting economic opportunities. Pantami specifically cited the establishment of a digital monitoring center in Gombe State, which enables security agencies to track activities in real-time without physical presence.
