Nigerian Stars Shine with 2026 BET Awards Nominations

Nigerian music stars Tems, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Asake have secured nominations for the 2026 BET Awards, further establishing Nigeria's reputation as a powerhouse in the global music industry. Tems, known for her soulful voice and songwriting, received three nominations, including Best Female R&B Pop Artist and Viewer’s Choice Award for her collaboration "Raindance" with British rapper Dave.

Burna Boy was nominated for Best Collaboration for his track "WGFT" featuring Gunna, adding to his growing list of international accolades. Wizkid and Asake made history by becoming the first contemporary African artists to be recognized in the Best Group category, thanks to their collaborative project.
