Security agencies are assessing the situation, with ongoing gun battles reported. Major Babatunde Zubairu of the Nigerian Army confirmed the air strike on bandits in Kano and Katsina states.

Additionally, a newlywed man named Sani was shot dead by bandits in Madaka, Niger State.
