PDP Sues INEC Over Ibadan Convention Recognition Dispute

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has taken legal action against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to halt the recognition of decisions made at the Ibadan Convention held in November. The lawsuit aims to invalidate the outcomes of the convention, which saw the expulsion of several party leaders aligned with Nyesom Wike.

The PDP faction led by Wike and others is contesting the legitimacy of the convention based on existing court judgments. The party members have also accused a rival group of attempting to take control of the party's secretariat by force.
