Terem Moffi Joins Hamburg SV from OGC Nice for €2.5M

Terem Moffi, a 27-year-old centre-forward, has completed a permanent transfer to Hamburg SV from OGC Nice for a fee of 2.5 million euros, which includes 500,000 euros in bonuses. Hamburg SV confirmed Moffi's arrival earlier on Monday.

He previously spent the second half of last season on loan at FC Porto. Moffi signed a three-year contract with Hamburg after undergoing routine medical examinations at the Athleticum of Volkspark over the weekend.

He will wear the number 9 shirt for the team. Claus Costa, HSV’s Director of Professional Football, described Moffi as a striker who is difficult to control due to his physicality and determination, expecting him to add power and versatility to the squad.

Kathleen Krüger, a member of the HSV sporting board, noted that Moffi's physical strength and international experience would provide the team with more attacking options. Moffi is set to join his new teammates in training this week, with his first competitive match potentially occurring on Saturday against Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga opener.
