Nnamdi Kanu's Terrorism Trial: Fate to Be Decided on Nov 20, Legal Arguments Arise

The Federal High Court in Abuja has scheduled November 20, 2025, as the judgment date for the terrorism trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Despite being given six days to present his defense, Kanu failed to do so, prompting Justice James Omotosho to announce the judgment date.

Kanu's legal team argued that recent legislative amendments had repealed the charges against him, seeking his immediate release from custody by the Department of State Services (DSS). The court is deliberating on the legality of the charges and the applicability of the amended laws to Kanu's case.
