TETFund's Electrification Drive to End Power Outages in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions by 2025

TETFund is spearheading an electrification initiative to tackle power outages in Nigerian tertiary institutions. The unstable electricity supply has long plagued campuses, hindering education and research.

With a focus on digital learning and reducing dependence on the national grid, TETFund has allocated billions for electrification projects in selected universities and polytechnics nationwide. This move, in partnership with the Rural Electrification Agency, aims to deploy solar energy solutions in institutions like Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University and Lagos State University.

The initiative signifies a significant step towards energy independence on campuses, enhancing the learning environment for students and faculty.
