TGG Foundation Launches Eco Challenge for Nigerian Youth

The TGG Foundation officially launched the TGG Campus Eco Challenge, aimed at mobilizing students across tertiary institutions in Nigeria to take decisive action towards environmental sustainability. Spearheaded by renowned actress and filmmaker Matilda Gogo Lambert, the initiative encourages young Nigerians to innovate and become custodians of the planet.

The competition will engage participants in various activities, including environmental awareness campaigns, waste management, recycling initiatives, tree planting, biodiversity conservation, and climate advocacy. The challenge will commence across tertiary institutions in River State, including Ignatius Ajuru University, Rivers State University, and the University of Port Harcourt, with plans to extend nationwide.

The grand final will be hosted across two different campuses, bringing together finalists and stakeholders to celebrate innovative, youth-driven change. The TGG Foundation has pledged to reward excellence among students with prizes of N1,000,000 for the grand prize, N500,000 for second place, and N300,000 for third place, alongside certificates for outstanding participants.
