EFCC Freezes Osun State Account Before Election

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has frozen the Osun State Government’s account, coinciding with the upcoming governorship election, which has sparked public suspicion and political controversy. Reports indicate that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu directed the EFCC to unfreeze the account, which has placed his administration in a contentious position regarding the operational independence of the EFCC.
