Oyo Labour Party Warns Against Confrontational Politics

The Oyo State Labour Party, represented by its state secretary Ojetund, stated that the citizens of Oyo will suffer consequences if opposition parties choose to confront the ruling party instead of engaging constructively. Ojetund made these remarks while addressing journalists in Ibadan on Tuesday.

He highlighted the role of opposition parties in guiding the government through constructive criticism rather than political battles that negatively affect residents. Ojetund dismissed claims of internal divisions within the party and expressed confidence in its structure as it prepares for future elections.

He noted that the party successfully conducted its congress in December 2025 and remains open to welcoming defectors and new entrants who align with its ideological principles. Ojetund also expressed optimism regarding the party's chances, particularly in the presidential polls, emphasizing the growth of the party's support base and the importance of maintaining unity in Oyo State as they focus on strengthening their structure for upcoming political contests.
