FHA's Reinvention Under Oyetunde Ojo Amid Housing Crisis

The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) in Nigeria, led by Hon. Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo since February 2024, is undergoing a critical reinvention to address the country's severe housing deficit, which exceeds 20 million units according to estimates from the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and the World Bank. The growing population, now over 230 million, intensifies the demand for affordable housing, while escalating land costs, inadequate mortgage financing, and ineffective urban planning complicate the situation.
