Governor Lawal Stresses Political Base Strength at APC Congress

During the APC congress held at the Trade Fair Ground in Gusau, Zamfara State, Governor Lawal stated that the strength of any government relies on its political base. The congress, which took place on a Saturday, involved the election of new state executive committee members with 745 delegates from 147 wards across 14 local governments.

Magaji, expressed a commitment to enhancing internal democracy and promoting unity within the party. Governor Lawal underscored the importance of the congress in aligning the party structure with governance goals, asserting that a disciplined and united party offers a solid platform for government growth.

He also acknowledged the leadership of the APC at the national level and the role of the congress committee, led by Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarab, in overseeing the election process, which he described as crucial for reinforcing the party's credibility and legitimacy at the grassroots level.
