Keyamo Critiques Opposition Protests Against INEC

On Wednesday, Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, criticized prominent opposition politicians, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso. His remarks were in response to a protest in Abuja organized by the African Democratic Congress, where various opposition figures demanded the protection of democratic institutions following the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) decisions.

Keyamo questioned the basis of the protest, suggesting it was an attempt to override legal processes through public pressure. He argued that the factional disputes within the opposition did not demonstrate significant electoral strength and accused the politicians of trying to manipulate public opinion regarding the electoral body’s decisions.
