Oseni Critiques Wike's Betrayal of PDP Ahead of 2027 Elections

Rufai Oseni, a presenter at Arise Television, criticized Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, for his recent statements regarding the 2027 elections. Wike expressed his commitment to ensuring President Bola Tinubu wins the Federal Capital Territory and admitted to undermining the Peoples Democratic Party's candidate, Asue Ighodalo, in the 2024 Edo governorship election due to a disagreement with former governor Godwin Obaseki.

Oseni accused Wike of betraying the PDP, the party that appointed him as minister, and recalled Wike's previous negative remarks about the All Progressives Congress, which he now collaborates with. Oseni expressed concern over Wike's actions, stating that his political maneuvers reflect a troubling trend in Nigeria's electoral integrity, where personal grievances take precedence over the support of capable candidates.
