Ex-Chief of Defence Staff Raises Alarm Over Insecurity and Push for Nigeria's Disintegration

Admiral Ola Ibrahim, a former Chief of Defence Staff in Nigeria, expressed alarm over the country's insecurity during a speech at the 42nd regular course reunion at the Nigerian Defence Academy in Abuja. He highlighted that Nigeria's size and economic potential attract individuals seeking to exploit the nation without contributing to its growth.

Ibrahim warned against efforts to destabilize the country and advocated for unity among military leaders to address the security crisis effectively. He emphasized the importance of a permanent military presence to tackle the escalating insecurity, citing the need for collective efforts to combat internal and external threats.

Major General Folusho Oyinlola, also present at the event, urged military personnel to uphold unity and support each other despite differences in ranks. Ibrahim reflected on his tenure as Chief of Defence Staff from 2012 to 2014, emphasizing the restructuring of military operations in troubled regions.
