Three Suspected Bandits Killed in Gombe Border Communities, Arms Recovered

The Gombe State Police Command confirmed the neutralization of three suspected bandits in border communities. The operation, which involved a coordinated security effort across the state, was successful in thwarting bandit attacks in vulnerable areas.

The bandits attempted to attack on Friday but were met with heavy deployment of security forces in areas like Axi, Pindiga, Billiri, and Shongom. However, they later struck in Garin Galadima Lambo on Saturday morning, resulting in the killing of three bandits and the abduction of five individuals.

Following a fierce gun battle, security forces neutralized the bandits, recovered arms, and rescued three victims. The police spokesperson disclosed that a large cache of ammunition was also seized, including 120 live shells.

The Gombe State Police Command reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and properties, especially in border communities prone to criminal activities.
