DSS Arrests Suspects in Murder of Soldiers in Delta State After Three Years

The Department of State Services (DSS) has apprehended two suspects in connection with the murder of four soldiers in Ashaka Aboh, Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State, three years ago. The suspects, identified as Ufuoma Sundai and Jame Lawrence, are allegedly linked to the killing, including the beheading of Chief Okwudili Obi, also known as Odumodu, a self-proclaimed traditional ruler in Asemoku community.

The soldiers were killed during a community crisis in February 2023, leading to heightened security operations in the area. Following a breakthrough in the investigation in January 2026, the suspects reportedly confessed to their criminal activities.

They have been arraigned before a judge at the State High Court in Kwale and remanded in custody pending trial. The DSS considers these arrests a significant breakthrough in resolving the case involving the attack on security personnel.
