Thugs Assault APC Chairman at Ondo Secretariat Meeting

On a recent date, thugs stormed the APC Secretariat in Ondo State, attacking the party's state caretaker chairman, Adetimehin, during a stakeholders' meeting. Eyewitnesses reported that armed individuals wielding sticks and machetes disrupted the gathering, causing chaos and forcing party members to flee for safety.

Adetimehin accused Ademilua Odudu, the state chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), of orchestrating the violent disruption. The attack resulted in the meeting's abrupt cancellation, with Adetimehin stating that he was beaten and his phone stolen during the incident.

Following the violence, the police were alerted, and Jimoh Abayomi, the state police command's public relations officer, confirmed that security forces were deployed to the scene to restore calm. The APC Ondo State issued a statement describing the incident as an internal misunderstanding and praised the governor's swift intervention.

No arrests have been reported as investigations continue.
