Thugs Attack APC Secretariat in Ondo State, Injuring Leaders

On Tuesday, thugs stormed the APC Secretariat in Ondo State, resulting in injuries to several party leaders, including the State Chairman, Adetimehin, and members of the Niger Delta Development Commission. Eyewitness Yetund Adeyanju reported that the attackers were armed and shouted the name Aiyedatiwa during the incident.

Among the injured were Adetimehin and former sports commissioner Saka Yusuf Ogunley, who were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The attack occurred during a stakeholders' meeting ahead of a congress.

Idowu Ajanaku informed that the assailants were allegedly sponsored to disrupt the meeting. However, the governor denied any involvement, labeling the claims as unfounded and misleading.

The state police, represented by public relations officer Abayomi Jimoh, stated that the situation has been brought under control and a tactical team has been deployed to investigate the incident.
