Tiger Woods Admits Phone Distraction Before DUI Crash

Tiger Woods confessed that his phone distracted him just before his DUI accident in Florida last week. According to a probable cause affidavit published on Tuesday, the 15-time major champion was not paying attention as he looked at his phone to change the radio when he failed to notice a truck braking in front of him.

The event occurred close to his home in Jupiter Island, where his car overturned on a two-lane road. When police arrived, they found signs of intoxication, including Woods appearing tired, sweating, and having bloodshot, watery eyes with large pupils.

Additionally, two hydrocodone tablets were discovered in his pocket. Woods admitted to having taken prescription medication earlier that day.

The famous golfer has undergone several surgeries, specifically seven on his back and 20 on his leg, which contributed to his unstable performance during the field sobriety test. Deputies determined that Woods was unable to safely operate his vehicle due to impairment, leading to his release after posting bond.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
