Soludo Sworn in for Second Term Amid Tight Security

On Tuesday, Governor Chukwuma Soludo took the oath of office for his second term in Awka, with significant security measures in place. A heavy deployment of security personnel included members from the Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the Federal Road Safety Corps, ensuring a peaceful ceremony at Alex Ekwueme Square.

Soludo's deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, was also present.

Residents expressed optimism regarding the administration's ability to consolidate gains made during Soludo's first term, particularly in infrastructure, security, and sanitation. Mr.

Ifeanyi Okeke, a trader, highlighted expectations for improved road construction and better opportunities over the next four years. Civil servant Ngozi Ezeani emphasized the positive impact of Soludo's leadership and urged prioritization of job creation and youth empowerment programs.

Additionally, youth representative Chidinma Obi called for greater opportunities for skill development. Mr.

Emeka Nwafor urged the government to address transportation challenges and economic hardships while maintaining security to ensure timely project completions.
