Soludo Sworn in for Second Term, Advocates Ndigbo Unity

On Tuesday, during a ceremony at the newly renovated Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo was sworn in for his second term as the Governor of Anambra State, alongside his deputy, Dr.

Onyekachukwu Ibezim. The oath of office was administered by Justice Onochie Anyachebelu.

Soludo, who won the governorship election held on November 8, 2025, on the platform of the Progress Grand Alliance with 422,664 votes, addressed the need for healing in Igboland and urged the region to engage politically for equitable representation. He emphasized the importance of strategic alliances and collective action among the Ndigbo to secure their rights and development within Nigeria.

Soludo commended President Bola Tinubu for ongoing federal projects in the Southeast, including the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway and the Second Niger Bridge, and called for a comprehensive agenda to revitalize the region's infrastructure and economy.
