Ondo State Implements Tight Security for Shettima's Visit

Ahead of Vice President Kashim Shettima's visit to Ondo State for the inauguration of the Onyearugbulem Flyover, the Nigeria Police Command has established tight security measures to ensure safety during the event. The visit is also part of the 100th birthday celebration of Afenifere leader Pa Ruben Fasoranti, whose residence is a key location for the event.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Abayomi Jimoh, the spokesperson for the command, confirmed that watertight security arrangements are in place to guarantee the safety of the Vice President and attendees. The security architecture includes personnel from the Police Mobile Force, tactical teams, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) operations.

Additional support will come from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps, and Amotekun Corps, ensuring a peaceful and hitch-free celebration.
