Peller Shares Tough Experience After Police Detention

Nigerian streamer Peller was arrested on Friday, July 3, 2026, following an encounter with police officers in Lagos, where he was reportedly stopped while driving a vehicle with tinted windows. He faced charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace, and obstructing police officers in the discharge of their duties.

Peller was subsequently arraigned in Lagos State Magistrate Court on Tuesday, where he was granted bail of N500,000. After spending four days in detention, he shared his experience on Snapchat, describing it as one of the toughest moments of his life.

He revealed that he was unable to eat or bathe during his time in custody and felt reluctant to appear online afterward. Peller recounted the unexpected camaraderie with fellow inmates, who humorously referred to him as "001." Despite the challenging conditions, he maintained hope throughout his ordeal.
