Nollywood Icon RMD Reflects on His 65th Birthday

Richard Mofe-Damijo, a celebrated Nollywood actor, writer, and producer, marked his 65th birthday by reflecting on his career and life journey. He began his career in 1980 and has made significant contributions to the Nigerian film industry.

Mofe-Damijo expressed gratitude for the lessons learned from challenges and victories in his life. He won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2005 and received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2016.

In 2024, he is set to be honored with an Industry Merit Award alongside Idowu Philip and Iya Rainbow. Mofe-Damijo, who became a chief in Udu Kingdom, Delta State, Nigeria, on December 23, 2024, continues to thrive as a major force in Nollywood, emphasizing the importance of grace and purpose in his journey.
