Timi Frank Demands Gbajabiamila's Resignation Over Remarks

Timi Frank, a political activist, has formally petitioned the United States government to investigate and impose sanctions on Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, due to remarks he made that Frank considers anti-democratic. The demand follows a viral video where Gbajabiamila allegedly suggested that the All Progressives Congress (APC) should not allow the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to win elections, which Frank described as reckless and dangerous.

He expressed concerns that such statements could undermine Nigeria's democratic institutions and weaken opposition parties, including the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and others. Frank characterized Gbajabiamila as an alter ego of President Tinubu, displaying an arrogant abuse of power.

He urged U.S. authorities to probe Gbajabiamila's financial dealings and called for his immediate resignation. Frank's petition reflects rising concerns about the stability of Nigeria's multiparty system amid increasing pressure on opposition parties.
