Adebayo Labels Tinubu as One of Nigeria's Most Lawless Leaders

Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP), described President Tinubu as one of Nigeria's most lawless leaders during a television interview. Adebayo accused Tinubu of failing to implement the Constitution, specifically referencing Section 162 regarding the Federation Account and revenue sharing, as well as non-compliance with the Appropriation Act.

He emphasized that the issue of lawlessness extends beyond the current administration, implicating a series of past presidents. Adebayo's campaign program, titled “Farewell to Poverty and Insecurity,” aims to reduce poverty and enhance security, with plans for wider access to food, housing, education, healthcare, and jobs.

He advocates for cooperative federalism, urging collaboration among federal, state, and local governments on development projects. Adebayo expressed openness to supporting another credible opposition candidate for the 2027 election, asserting that the presidency is an office for all Nigerians.

He unveiled the SDP manifesto on September 8 in Abuja and returned unopposed as the party's presidential candidate in May.
