Adebayo Critiques Tinubu's Governance and Cabinet Choices

Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration during remarks made on Thursday at the Middle Belt Forum. Adebayo likened Tinubu's leadership experience to placing an inexperienced person in an aircraft cockpit, suggesting that the President may be overwhelmed by the complexities of governing Nigeria.

He stated, “You assume an office and you don’t know what it means,” indicating that Tinubu is facing challenges without a clear understanding of the responsibilities. Adebayo also expressed concerns regarding the administration's approach to ministerial appointments, particularly criticizing the concentration of key positions among certain states and local governments.

He pointed out that it is irresponsible for one state to have multiple ministers in critical roles, citing an example where both the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Interior are from the same local government area.
