Tinubu Appoints Tajudeen Abbas for APC 2027 Campaign Role

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Tajudeen Abbas as the Deputy Director General North II of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 elections. This appointment is part of the ruling party's strategy to secure a second term for Tinubu.

Abbas, who is recognized as a significant political ally of Tinubu, will collaborate primarily with principal officers from the northern region. The 223-member Presidential Campaign Council has been established to spearhead Tinubu's re-election campaign, focusing on political mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and the coordination of campaign activities nationwide.

The presidency has tasked the council members with working diligently to ensure the APC's success in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Additionally, Tinubu has encouraged leaders of various directorates to engage with other party members who may not be officially listed but could contribute to the campaign efforts.
