Tinubu Appoints Jibrin as APC Deputy Director General

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Barau Jibrin, who serves as the Deputy President of the Senate, to the position of Deputy Director General North III of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 elections. This appointment is part of the APC's formal organization to secure a second term for Tinubu.

Jibrin is recognized as a key political ally of Tinubu and will primarily collaborate with principal officers from the northern region. The APC has established a 223-member Presidential Campaign Council that will lead Tinubu's re-election efforts, focusing on political mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and the planning and coordination of campaign activities nationwide.

The presidency has instructed the council members to work diligently to ensure the APC's victory in the upcoming presidential election in 2027. Additionally, Tinubu has urged leaders of various directorates to engage with other party members who may contribute to the campaign, even if they are not officially listed.
