Tinubu Praises APC Support, Commits to Democratic Values

During a press conference held on Saturday at the APC presidential primary in Ikoyi, Lagos, Bola Tinubu acknowledged the massive support he received from APC members, describing it as a challenge to do more for Nigeria. He noted that the strong turnout at the 2026 APC primaries demonstrated internal democracy within the party and emphasized the importance of grassroots political engagement.

Tinubu arrived at the venue alongside his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and was received by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos APC Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Dr. Jumoke Oduwolu, and former Minister of Finance Wale Edun, among other party leaders.

He commended the orderly conduct and enthusiasm of party members, asserting that the APC remains committed to a transparent and inclusive democratic process. Tinubu praised electoral officials and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and credible exercise, urging Nigerians to continue supporting democratic institutions for national unity.
