Tinubu Appoints New CAC Chairman and Population Commissioners

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Ibrahim Ida as the new chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). In addition, he nominated seven individuals to fill vacant positions as national population commissioners.

The nominees include Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi from Ekiti State, Nasiru Muazu from Zamfara State, Usman Abubakar Tuggar from Bauchi State, Dr. Isaka Alada from Kwara State, Prof.

Sadiq Isah Radda from Katsina State, Suleiman Umar from Jigawa State, and Hon. Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo from Sokoto State.

These appointments are intended to complement the Federal Commission, which has already been sworn in, pending confirmation by the National Assembly. Ibrahim Ida holds an MSc in Banking and Finance from the University of Ibadan (1983) and an LLB from the University of Abuja (2003).

He was elected as a senator in 2017, representing Katsina Central and has served in various capacities, including as the Permanent Secretary in the Katsina State Civil Service. Additionally, President Tinubu confirmed the appointment of Dr.

Yusuf Moham as chairman of the Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo and Bala Moham Bello as a special advisor on political economy.
