Tinubu Appoints New Management Team For NTA, Names Rotimi Pedro DG

President Bola Tinubu has appointed a new management team for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), with Rotimi Richard Pedro being named as the Director-General. The announcement was made on August 15, with Tinubu approving the appointments.

Pedro, a Lagos native, is a seasoned media executive with nearly three decades of experience in broadcasting, sports rights, and marketing communication across Africa, the UK, and the Middle East. He is also a trained entertainment and intellectual property lawyer and holds an MSc in Investment Management and Finance.

Pedro founded Optima Sports Management International in 1995, which became one of Africa's leading sport content providers. His career includes roles at Bloomberg Television Africa, Rapid Blue Format, and consultancy work for FIFA, UEFA, and Fremantle Media.

Notably, he played a key role in securing exclusive media rights for the African Union Broadcasters for CAF competitions.
