Tinubu Allocates Land in Abuja for Nigerian Ambassadors

President Bola Tinubu has approved the allocation of land in Abuja for Nigerian ambassadors and high commissioners, as revealed by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This announcement was made during a visit from ambassador-designates to the official residence in Life Camp, Abuja.

Wike explained that the approval is intended to ensure that Nigerian envoys have proper properties in Abuja, particularly when they return home for official duties. The plan allows envoys to apply for land, facilitating their accommodation and ensuring that Nigeria's representatives have a stable base in the capital when returning from their posts abroad.

This decision is expected to improve diplomatic activities in Abuja and encourage closer links between foreign missions and the Federal Capital Territory. Wike urged diplomats to conduct their actions abroad in a manner that positively shapes Nigeria's image and to share their plans directly with President Tinubu, particularly in areas related to attracting investors and building partnerships for the nation.
