Tinubu Attends Africa-France Summit in Nairobi, Kenya

President Bola Tinubu arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, on Monday to attend the high-level Africa-France Summit, which will focus on investment, innovation, and climate action in the region. Tinubu's aircraft, Nigeria Air Force 1, landed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 12:15 local time.

He was received by senior Nigerian government officials, including Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Taiwo Oyeleke, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Abubakar Kyari, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Gboyega Oyetola, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu. The summit, co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto, will emphasize themes such as energy transition, green industrialization, digital transformation, climate action, and restructuring global financial architecture.

Tinubu's participation is expected to strengthen Nigeria's strategic partnerships with African countries and France, highlighting his administration's ongoing reforms aimed at positioning Nigeria as a major destination for sustainable investment. Additionally, Tinubu is scheduled to travel to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum from May 14 to May 15.
