Tinubu Leads 2027 Election Poll Ahead of Obi, Atiku

The Oxford–Metro Analytics National Trust Poll, which closed on September 7, 2023, indicates that President Bola Tinubu is the leading candidate for the 2027 election, receiving 24,469 responses, or 35.41% of the total 69,110 responses. Peter Obi of the Labour Party follows closely with 23,402 responses, representing 33.86%, while former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar secured 18,430 responses, accounting for 26.67%.

The geographical analysis shows Tinubu leading in 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory, while Obi and Atiku each led in eight states. Tinubu's strongest support came from the South-West, North-West, and North-Central regions.

Obi led in the South-East and South-South, while Atiku dominated the North-East. Notably, in the Federal Capital Territory, Tinubu received 5,599 responses compared to Obi's 5,278.

The poll also revealed that Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory accounted for 54.44% of all responses, with 56 diaspora responses excluded from regional tallies.
