Tinubu Leads Obi by 1,067 Responses in New Poll

In the Oxford–Metro Analytics National Trust Poll, which closed on September 7, President Bola Tinubu received 24,469 responses, accounting for 35.41% of the total 69,110 responses. He leads Peter Obi, who garnered 23,402 responses (33.86%), by 1,067 responses, a margin of approximately 1.54 percentage points.

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar placed third with 18,430 responses (26.67%). Tinubu led in 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), while Obi and Atiku each had the highest responses in eight states.

Notably, Tinubu's support increased in northern states, winning areas previously held by Atiku in the 2023 presidential election, such as Kaduna, Katsina, and Gombe. In the FCT, Tinubu received 5,599 responses compared to Obi's 5,278 and Atiku's 3,954.

The poll results indicate a close national race, with Kogi state showing a particularly narrow margin among candidates.
