Tinubu Celebrates Al-Hassan Yakmut on 65th Birthday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu celebrated the 65th birthday of HRH Dr. Al-Hassan Saleh Yakmut, recognizing him as a distinguished sports administrator and community leader.

Yakmut serves as the chairman of Plateau United FC and is the district head of Chanso in Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State. In a statement issued by his special adviser on media and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu commended Yakmut's extensive contributions to the development of sports in Nigeria.

He highlighted Yakmut's journey from being a professional volleyball player to becoming a senior sports administrator, including his role as the former Director General of the National Sports Commission. Tinubu acknowledged Yakmut's influence in policy development for grassroots sports and his advisory role in football administration, which has been instrumental in strengthening sports unity in Nigeria.

The President wished Yakmut continued success and good health in his future endeavors.
