Tinubu Celebrates Governor Alia's 60th Birthday in Benue

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulated Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State on his 60th birthday, commending his leadership and contributions to the state's development. In a statement issued on Thursday, Tinubu noted Alia's background as a Catholic priest and his commitment to service since his ordination in 1990.

Alia was elected governor in 2023, reflecting the trust of the people of Benue in his leadership. Tinubu drew parallels between Alia and the late Moses Orshio Adasu, emphasizing Alia's efforts in industrializing Benue, including the establishment of a tomato and fruit juice processing plant, a brewery, and other large-scale factories.

He praised ongoing infrastructure projects aimed at improving traffic flow and urban living conditions, as well as advancements in education and healthcare. Tinubu acknowledged Alia's role in promoting peace and unity across the state and urged him to sustain these efforts while expanding social welfare programs and continuing infrastructure development.
